Custom Security will be on property today and tomorrow to inspect our fire alarms in each building. If you hear an alarm go off please disregard.
The beach renourishment crew is disassembling two sections of the pier in anticipation of the sand being moved on to our beach. THey have asked that everyone give them enough space to do their work. Please, if you want to watch the process do not venture beyond our seawall. Thank you.
The ocean pool will be temporarily closed. It needs to be shocked and will reopen when the pool company is finished treating it. We apologize for the inconvenience.
All bicycles have been removed from the area under the stairways. All bikes must be kept in the designated bike storage area, in your own personal storage area or in your unit. Thank you.
SUBJECT: 2016 Beach Nourishment Project – Change in Schedule
Changes to the schedule of the upcoming beach renourishment project are hereby announced. Sand placement activities will commence June 15, 2016 along the Port Royal Sound Shoreline portion of the project. Once complete, work is expected to move from Port Royal Sound to South Beach, east of the Tower Beach Club in very late July. The central oceanfront segment will be constructed last, mostly during the months of September and October. Please see the attached graphic. Mobilization activities including delivery of pipeline and equipment will continue to occur for the next several weeks.
The scope and scale of the project is unchanged.
The hot tub is closed at the moment as a result of a failure in the main heater. The pool company has ordered parts and it will be fixed as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Tomorrow we will begin rebuilding the walkway from the Ocean Pool to the pier. Over the next couple of days we will be removing the old walkway and replacing it with a new one which will not buckle the way the present won has over time. We will also replace the decking on the first section of the pier.
